I like using the same framing device but altering the point of view. For example, I get a lot of comments about the difference in the ground beef blend between the prologue and chapter 1, which sets up nicely the reveal in chapter 13 that the prologue is from Beatrice's point of view.

With the first interlude, it's clear who the point of view is from, but it's not until we get to the second interlude that we get the full picture of what happened in the first interlude.

Finally, writing from a yet another first person point of view helps me improve as a writer, as this series will likely continue with only Jen's POV, so I don't get so many opportunities to write in a different voice. The companion novella Memoria is written in a different first person POV, and separating that narrator's voice from Jen's was particularly challenging.
