This New Comic Book Day, I am proud to reveal the Blood of Atlantis #1 cover A, illustrated and colored by our interior artist, Francine Delgado!
Without further ado, here is Fran’s amazing cover!
Featured front and center is our main character, the indomitable Beatrice Stallard.
You may remember her as a foil/sometimes mentor to Jen in the NYC Questing Guild books, but now Beatrice is setting off on her own!
Here’s the first issue solicit:
Magic is real. That’s a fact Beatrice Stallard has known for more than a decade.
It is not the magic of the storybooks though. There are no wands, no spells, no incantations. Magic, or alchemy, as it is better known, is about harnessing the energy flowing within the Earth. And the Quests that have the New York City underground by storm? They're all about finding whatever little magic is left.
In her travels, trials, and tribulations, Beatrice has come across inklings and whispers that the myths of yore weren’t exactly myths.
And the big one, the one she is setting her sights on, is Atlantis, the fabled lost city that sank beneath the waves so long ago, never to be heard from again.
Or so the story goes.
Together with her business partner/wizened bartender Svetlana and a couple of newbie Questers she picked up along the way, Beatrice will traverse New York City and beyond to discover the secrets of Atlantis.
It’s a pulp adventure for the modern day, but with magic!
As a reminder, please take a moment to visit the Kickstarter pre-launch page and hit “Notify me on launch” so you’ll get the launch day announcement.
The first 24-48 hours are the most important time during a Kickstarter campaign, and I hope I can count on your support then. Plus, there might just be an early backer bonus in it for you!
The campaign launches on Tuesday, June 4, so watch this space for more reveals, including our three variant covers! In the meantime, catch up on the journey so far:
