Hi everyone,
As the picture above indicates, I have been transported to a galaxy far, far away. Thankfully, I still have reliable Internet access! But that also means we’re taking a short break from the usual monthly links round-up and video game retrospective.
During my last visit to Disney World several years ago, Galaxy's Edge was a work-in-progress hidden behind a tantalizing sign. Now it is a full-fledged world with winding alleys, pesky Stormtroopers, and friendly Wookies. Not to mention blue milk!Â
Walking through the corridors of the Millennium Falcon was a bit unreal. As were the two rides in Galaxy's Edge, Rise of the Resistance and Smuggler's Run. I won't spoil anything, but if you manage to brave the Disney hordes in the near future, they should definitely be at the top of your list.
For my youngest, it was her first trip to Disney World. She has been looking forward to the trip for so long that the week of, she asked "are we really going to Disney World this week?" as if she couldn't believe it was actually happening.Â
Below are a couple highlights (no spoilers for the rides, don't worry!).Â
Do you have a favorite Disney park memory? Leave a comment and let me know! But be warned, if you do, I may reply back with my idea for an Avengers Infinity Stones Time Heist ride that should definitely be built at Avengers Campus in Disneyland.
This Month on ARC Worlds
Guild of Tokens, Chapters 30-35
Guild of Magic, Chapter 9
As a reminder, weekly Guild of Magic chapters are available for paid Guild members, but I will be unlocking one free chapter each month for everyone and including the link in this section so you won’t have to go hunting through the archive. Also, going forward, you’ll receive the monthly unlocked chapter in its own email on the third Wednesday every month.
It was a light month of non-book content on ARC Worlds, but next month looks to be chock full of awesomeness, including the next post in my Building a Readership series and my inaugural comics post! Stay tuned!
I’ve been hard at work behind-the-scenes getting ready for the Kickstarter campaign for Guild of Magic. That means tons of new artwork and rewards from the first campaign. But one thing I’d love to continue that I don’t think will make it into the campaign is the next set of character trading cards. As the paid Guild member ranks grow, I’m planning on commissioning a new set of cards that all paid members will receive, along with the first set of cards! Plus you’ll get a vote in which characters should be featured.
