Fun things!
I saw Across the Spider-verse with my two daughters last weekend, and they (and I) absolutely loved it, although they were particularly perplexed (and slightly annoyed) at the concept of a cliffhanger. I’ll leave you with two things from the movie (no spoilers, don’t worry). First, a reference that approximately 0.342% of you will get:

Finally, I listened to a great interview that Ben Thompson of Stratechery did with DNVR founder Adam Mares about building local Internet businesses. DNVR is a city-focused sports blog (Denver in case you needed the vowels), but as Mares discusses in the interview, they grew beyond just covering games into podcasts, pre- and post-game shows after Nuggets games, merch, and even into having their own bar, where they host watch parties and their shows. Unfortunately, the interview is behind a paywall, so if you are a Stratechery subsciber and haven’t read/listened to the interview yet, it is definitely worth your while. If you’re not, then this interview that Mares and his team did during a trip to Serbia (where they have achieved celebrity status due to their coverage of countryman Nikola Jokic) goes over similar ground.

A new chapter of Guild of Magic is now unlocked and we’re officially in the endgame of the book now!
